Primary Responsibilities: The Recreation Assistant coordinates group and individual activities that incorporate physical activity, emotional support and cultural exploration. All duties must be performed while ensuring resident safety, maintaining confidentiality and showing sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Some college coursework; Degree and/or CTRS preferred. Prior experience leading activities, including fitness programs; 2 years' experience working with older adults or persons with cognitive impairments preferred. Current WA State Driver's License; Class \"C\" CDL preferred. Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and assist residents in emergency situations. Ability to pass DSHS background check, required.
